My name is Linda Tieu and I work as a freelance designer, aka Calimera Web.  Projects include those on the web, in print and also digital illustrations – all the creative services you need to satisfy your particular business need.

I have been working in the internet industry for over 10 years – besides personal ventures online – my real web career started while studying at Cornell University in 1999, working for the EdWeb Lab developing online education websites.  Since then I’ve worked with advertising agencies like Russ Reid, as part of the marketing department of mid-size companies like Auto-Graphics, in small internet start-up teams and even the corporate Internet Group at Disney/ABC-TV.  I have the creative sensitivity of a designer, but also the solid technical knowledge from my mathematics and computer science education.

My skills span from product development to project management to hands-on design and development of the actual work.  I handle projects from start to finish specializing in creating clean and effective websites and graphics. I like to handcode XHTML and CSS-based layouts using existing Javascript frameworks like JQuery and MooTools. I also use WordPress as the CMS or blog engine of choice when needed.
